Who I am
I am Stephanie -- a dahlia fan girl, wannabe urban farmer and recovering plant killer.
This is my second year in business and I am growing even more flowers on my small West Seattle property than last year.
My journey with the West Seattle Flower Farm began when I grew dahlias for my pandemic wedding in 2020. Since then, my hobby got a bit out of control and transformed into a side-hustle.
And now my small urban yard is crammed with flowers.
Like everyone else, my life is busy and stressful. Between being a mom to a wild toddler, working full-time and starting this business, I never feel like I have enough time (or energy!) for anything.
Growing dahlias taught me, however, that fresh flowers make my house and life feel less chaotic.
I love growing flowers. I love seeing other people grow flowers. And I love learning (and teaching!) about how to grow even better flowers.
