If I had to create a list of the top 10 most reliable dahlias, Ivanetti would be on it. It produces blooms reliably throughout the summer and creates solid tubers that store well over winter.
Ivanetti is known for its deep burgundy blooms that are about 4” in diameter. Like most ball dahlias, it has a reliable vase life.
Its center petals have a hint of purple and blue.
My favorite thing about this dahlia: It’s reliable and consistent. While many dahlias have coloring and bloom patterns that change with the season, Ivanetti produces the same flower over and over again with deviation. I've tried growing several burgundy dahlias, and Ivanetti always always out performs in terms of vase life, versatility and color.
