Crichton Honey

Crichton Honey is a warm apricot gold color with blooms that typically reach 4 inches in diameter. Crichton Honey shows a huge variety in color throughout the season but the honey gold hue remains a constant in its blooms. Plus, it's one of the few ball dahlias that has a cute visible button center.

My favorite thing about this dahlia: It blooms consistently throughout the season, and the range of color is always fantastic.

My least favorite thing about this dahlia: Sometimes this variety can have "bobble head" blooms, meaning the flower is more susceptible to popping off the stem if handled too roughly. (Though I frequently use this variety in my bouquets so it's not that delicate.)

Height: 3 to 3.5 feet

Tuber rating: 10/10 - I've never had drama overwintering this dahlia in our climate.
