Hummingbird poppy seedlings (6 - mixed colors)
Hummingbird poppies are a large blooming gorgeous poppy variety with paper-like flowers. These plugs (seedlings) will bloom in a mix of colors.
While a bit more fussy than the typical Iceland poppies, their blooms are so incredible they are worth growing. Hummingbird Poppies grow on tall, very strong stems and their blooms are much larger and stronger than Icelandic Poppies. While Icelandic Poppies begin blooming as early as March, Hummingbird Poppies don't put on a show until June.
The color palette of Hummingbird Poppies is typically softer than the color palette of Icelandic Poppies.
Each listing is for 6 seedlings. Seedlings are for pick up only beginning in mid-November.
Poppies can withstand below freezing temperatures once established. I use leaves and low row cover to give them a bit of extra protection during the cold spells.
