All That Jazz Dahlia Cutting

All That Jazz Dahlia Cutting

All That Jazz has an interesting combination of colors — red, gold, with hints of purple and a green center. The blooms are huge (usually 5” in diameter) and grow on long sturdy stems. Because of the color combinations it is decently versatile in bouquets. Also, the petals look like they have glitter in them.

All That Jazz blooms a bit later than some other varieties, but it chugs out the flowers once it gets going. It’s a robust plant, and creates very large and reliable tubers. (I would consider giving this dahlia more space than my typical recommendation of 12 inches of space because the plant gets so bushy and the tuber clump gets big.)

My favorite thing about this dahlia: The unique coloring and the hints of purple in the petals.

Bloom size: Large - 5”

Height: Medium — about 4’ tall however it’s a very bushy plant and needs support to prevent it from toppling over

Tuber rating: Produces several very large tubers

Year I started growing this dahlia: 2021

This listing is for one tuber or one small tuber clump, which will produce one dahlia plant.

(Please note: The photos of the plants are not of the exact product. They are examples of what a dahlia cutting will look like.)

About Dahlia Cuttings

Dahlia cuttings are another way to propagate dahlias. If cared for correctly (fertile soil, regular watering and regular harvesting) throughout the growing season, they will produce a small tuber clump that can be overwintered or dug and divided for dahlias the following year.

All dahlia cuttings purchased from the West Seattle Flower Farm will have at least three sets of leaves and have ample roots (which will develop into the dahlia tubers over the course of the season.) They will be hardened off (meaning I slowly introduced them to outside from my grow room over the course of a week) and ready for planting in your garden.

After transplanting to your garden, please check on them daily for at least a week to ensure the transplant remains healthy and the soil remains moist around the base of the plant.
